This package takes a xml file generated by Wordpress, and offers a series of functions to turn it to a series of markdown posts.
This is unfinished, and the code qualilty is likely very embarassing. I'm getting help.
- Where content is HTML, you have the option of converting it to markdown, to make it easier to edit in future.
- Check for schema, so posts conform to the schema expected by cryogen (i.e. posts have a title)
- Have a sensible approach to tests
- Add some sensible CLI options
Importing the namespace and calling the main convert function will generate a timestamped markdown file of the html for every post in your xml file from wordpress.
(require wordpres-to-markdown :as wp-2-md)
(wp-2-md/convert "wp-export-xml" "path/to/output")
