Twitch Chat Extension

A web brower extension made with Chrome Manifest v3 and Firefox Manifest v2. It adds custom emotes on the Twitch chat of my channel. Emotes are only replaced in the chat area and will only be replaced on my channel. Additionnaly, the extension lets you add backgrounds (banners) to messages and badges next to users' names. Clicking on the extension icon in the extension menu will display all available emotes and banners with their respective keywords.

Installation guide

Chrome

This extension can only be installed manually, so follow each of these steps carefully :

  1. Clone the project or download a .zip containing the files. If you downloaded a .zip, extract it to your computer.
  2. Rename manifest-chrome.json to manifest.json.
  3. Go to chrome://extensions/ on your Chrome browser.
  4. On the top right of the page, toggle developer mode.
  5. On the top left of the page, click Load unpacked.
  6. Select the folder containing the project files.
  7. Untoggle developer mode.

Firefox

This extension is available on Mozilla's addons website, so follow each of these steps :

  1. Go to this page.
  2. Click Add to Firefox.
