Why this application ? because default token based authentication has been removed from Devise-Library. This application uses token auth authentication, token which is created during user creation and stored in field called authentication_token, which is returned to mobile client if username/email and password matches.
Client uses returned token from server for future requests.
Basic API Application for mobile client, so obviously it uses token auth authentication.
Request using curl :
