EffectiveSwift

EffectiveSwift is a framework that makes you work more efficiently with Swift. It contains some extensions for Classes in iOS framework and some classes derived them or wrapped for them.

Installation

From CocoaPods

CocoaPods is a dependency manager for Objective-C/Swift, which automates and simplifies the process of using 3rd-party libraries like EffectiveSwift in your projects. First, add the following line to your Podfile:

pod 'EffectiveSwift'

If you want to use the latest features of EffectiveSwift use normal external source dependencies.

pod 'EffectiveSwift', :git => 'https://github.com/mikezone/EffectiveSwift.git'

This pulls from the master branch directly.

Take care that Swift project must add:

use_frameworks!

Second, install EffectiveSwift into your project:

pod install

Manually

Drag the EffectiveSwift/Extension and EffectiveSwift/Classes folders into your project.
Take care that modulemapFiles folder is added into your project folder. And set its path in Build Settings parameter Import Paths.
Add the libz dynamic library to your project.

Usage

(run this Xcode project. There are some sample in AppGenerate/ViewController)

Get a substring of String type
