1) make sure there's a GPG key in root's keyring 2) make sure the GPG key is backed up somewhere safe 3) make sure the password and keyid for the GPG key is in local.conf 4) make sure duplicity is installed (>0.7.18, or with https://bugs.launchpad.net/duplicity/+bug/1785520 fixed) 5) make sure backblaze-b2 is installed (maybe) 6) make sure python-pip is installed 7) pip install b2 8) configure list of desired backups in backups
