Unemployment is a global issue which needs to be addressed. This leads to a variety of other issues in society including poverty and eventually leads to reduction of gross domestic product (GDP) of the countries. The Government of India came up with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (MGNREGA), the aim of which is to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to exercise their right to work. For this project, we are designing a database which conveys government-centric information, displaying the progress of the initiative.
The project entails the objectives below:
- The database would showcase the seasonal job data per state and highlight the employment ratio.
- Ascertain the job opportunities available within a region.
- The database would also represent the performance of the initiative in empowerment of women, scheduled casts and tribes in vivid manner, showing the state-wise performance.
- Brings forth the bank account data which eventually enables the scheduled casts, tribes to advance towards UPI.
- Advocates the reduction of paperwork and helps in easy retrieval of data for further analysis.
