Requirements

• Python 3.8+
• pip 23.3+
• joblib 1.3+
• pyarrow 14.0+
• pandas 2.0+
• geopandas 0.13+
• jupyterlab>=4.0+

Usage

• Clone this repository

git clone https://github.com/lykmapipo/NYC-TLC-Trip-Data.git
cd NYC-TLC-Trip-Data

• Install all dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

• Set environment variables

export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID="<YOUR_AWS_ACCESS_KEY>"
export AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY="<YOUR_AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY>"
export AWS_REGION="us-east-1"

• To extract trips metadata (i.e year, month, size etc.), run:

python extract_trips_metadata.py

• To extract zones data (i.e taxi+_zone_lookup, taxi_zones etc.), run:

python extract_zones_data.py

• To extract trips data, run:

python extract_trips_data.py -t yellow -y 2023 -m 1 -m 2

• To display extract trips data help, run:

python extract_trips_data.py --help
