An example of versioning with mike for MkDocs

create mkdocs.yml

site_name: mike version for mkdocs

theme:

plugins:

nav:

git commit all changes
git checkout new branch v1.x
create first version: mike deploy v1.x
back to master and mike deploy v2.x, now you get two versions.
set default version: mike set-default v2.x
preview: mike serve

Push to github

git push origin master
git push origin gh-pages
git push origin v1.x

Github action

Create .github/workflows/mkdocs.yml, ensure correct branch and version, v1.x be equal to branch v1.x and v2.x be equal to branch master in this demo.
