Create Github account, get code into your local workspace (you have to fork it if you want to contribute to this project)
- In the top-right corner of the page, click "Fork". This will copy this original repository onto your own Github account and create a repository for you.
- From your personal Github account, visit the repository link titled "equalithon"
- Clone your own "equalithon" repository onto your local machine by clicking on the green button that reads "Code" on your page
- To set up a connection from your local repository to this main repo, open your terminal and type this in:
git remote add upstream https://github.com/esteemcode/equalithon.git - In your terminal type
git remote -vto verify that you have set up connection correctly. The terminal should read something like this:$ git remote -v origin https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME_SHOWS_HERE/equalithon.git (fetch) origin https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME_SHOWS_HERE/equalithon.git (push) upstream https://github.com/esteemcode/equalithon.git (fetch) upstream https://github.com/esteemcode/equalithon.git (push)

- In your terminal first install npm dependencies by running the command
npm install - To run the React app, in your terminal type
npm start - Your app should open a new browser tab on
http://localhost:3000
