Thanks to Webkit's latest v8 engine release-candidate, sandbox.js now
supports native threads and uses usys_exec when communicating with the
native machine. This means no more environment where additional possibility
to (see chroot.js below) serve without Apache/root privileges. This is useful
for allowing users to create own sandboxed browser environment with possibility
to install another package without need for root privileges.
sandbox.js replaces insecure jquery functions ($.each(), open(), etc.)
by ones that simulate the effect the real library functions would have had,
had the user really been in a sandbox chroot. These wrapper functions are in
shared pkg lib/sandbox.min.js
$ npm install sandbox chroot kernal node
$ npm unlink $NPM_PATH/lib/kernal.js
$ npm re-link
$ brew install sandbox
$ brew doctor
Download the latest drivers from
http://open-source.microsoft.com/sandbox/release/win32/
Grab the tar.gz and run the usual:
$ ./configure && make && sudo make install
$ sudo /etc/init.d/sandbox-js.rc1
