Scala and sbt Dockerfile
Useful for building in environments like CircleCI v2.
Base Docker Image
Installation
- Install Docker
- Pull automated build from public Docker Hub Registry:
- See tags for built specific versions (not the latest ones)
docker pull ls12styler/scala-sbt
Alternatively, you can build an image from Dockerfile:
docker build -t scala-sbt github.com/ls12styler/scala-sbt
Or with specific versions:
docker build -t scala-sbt --build-arg SCALA_VERSION=2.12.7 --build-arg SBT_VERSION=1.2.6 github.com/ls12styler/scala-sbt
Usage
docker run -it --rm ls12styler/scala-sbt /bin/bash
SBT Console
Omitting the entrypoint will act as though you ran sbt
in your project directly and will land you in the SBT Console. You will also need to include your project directory as a bind mount on the container under the path /project
.
docker run -it --rm -v `pwd`:/project ls12styler/scala-sbt
