There is no reason that you have to learn Go.

Reasons to learn something only make sense if you have a clear need. Do you want to be more valuable in the job market? Do you simply want to pursue the happiness of learning? Do you work on performance critical softwares? Do you want to make super productive software engineering? Do you work on large (million LOC level) codebase? Do you want to keep up with the trend and look cool?
