IPv6 multicast example ========================== ipv6_multicast_send - client for joining multicast group, read data from stdin and transmit udp datagrams ipv6_multicast_recv - client for joining multicast group, receiving udp datagrams and write data to stdout To use another interface that default (e.g. tunnel), update variable ifidx. (In Linux "ip link show" lists all interfaces and their corresponding index number) To avoid fragmentation on a link with a lower MTU than standard 1500 bytes (e.g. tunnel), update buffer size 1400 to whatever value you want, leave enough room for protocol headers. Example usage ================= ipv6_multicast_send -------------------- Example 1: echo 'Hello World!' | ipv6_multicast_send ff02::1:5 5555 Example 2: ipv6_multicast_send ff02::1:5 5555 <<EOF Hello World! Hello World again! Hello World and again! EOF Example 3: ipv6_multicast_send ff02::1:5 5555 <enter text live on keyboard and hit ctrl+d to end input and send buffer> ipv6_multicast_recv -------------------- Example 1: Listen for global SAP announcements and write the SAP+SDP messages to stdout. ipv6_multicast_recv ff0e::2:7ffe 9875 Example 2: ipv6_multicast_recv ff0e::2:7ffe 9875 > SAPv6-messages.txt
