Workshop prerequisities

  1. Some suitable IDE: WebStorm, Visual Studio Code, Atom, Sublime (TypeScript code-completion required)
  2. Node and NPM
  3. Chrome browser
  4. (recommended) Redux DevTools Chrome extension: http://extension.remotedev.io/
  5. (recommended) Augury Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/augury/elgalmkoelokbchhkhacckoklkejnhcd

Prepare for the workshop

npm install -g yarn @angular/cli

git clone https://github.com/lfryc/ngrx-workshop.git
cd ngrx-workshop/

yarn

ng serve

Access the starter app at http://localhost:4200.

Before the workshop starts

Download the latest workshop sources:

cd ngrx-workshop/
get fetch origin

Development server

Run ng serve for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Code scaffolding

Run ng generate component component-name to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module.

Build

Run ng build to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/ directory. Use the -prod flag for a production build. Use the -aot flag to enable Ahead-of-Time compilation.

Running unit tests

Run ng test to execute the unit tests via Karma.

Running end-to-end tests

Run ng e2e to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor.
