Learn about javanese puppet (wayang/ꦮꦪꦁ) character each time you open up terminal.

Wayang-Terminal is a CLI tool that displays a new character of javanese puppet (wayang) on your terminal every time you run it.

Installation

Clone this repository

git clone https://github.com/lantip/wayang-terminal.git

Usage

for Linux

Go to wayang-terminal directory, and execute wayang-linux.

$ cd wayang-terminal
$ wayang-linux

for Mac Intel based Architecture

Go to wayang-terminal directory, and execute wayang64.

$ cd wayang-terminal
$ wayang64

for Mac arm-64 based architecture

Go to wayang-terminal directory, and execute wayang.

$ cd wayang-terminal
$ wayang

add to .bashrc

Copy the wayang or wayang64 or wayang-linux file to /usr/local/bin directory, and add wayang (or wayang64 or wayang-linux) to your .bashrc or .zshrc

The wayang image used in this application is mainly from: blog Pitoyo Amrih and blog Tokoh Wayang Purwa, while the description about each character, comes from this Villaorlado repository.
