The app-bot
runner is configure to automaticaly build, test and deploy the webpage.
Just modify somepage.md
, then commit changes to the master branch.
This short tutorial will show you how to serve the webpage at you local machine and test your changes. Tested on Ubuntu.
First, it is safe to isolate your python's enviroment.
Install virtual enviroment:
$ pip3 install virtualenv virtualenvwrapper
$ source /usr/local/bin/virtualenvwrapper.sh
Depending on the version install, the source location can differ and environment paths need to be exported:
$ export VIRTUALENVWRAPPER_PYTHON=/usr/bin/python3
$ export VIRTUALENVWRAPPER_VIRTUALENV=/home/<user>/.local/bin/virtualenv
$ source ~/.local/bin/virtualenvwrapper.sh
You can lookup your pythons' distributions using $ whereis python
or just pick the default one...
$ mkvirtualenv --python=$(which python3) mkdocs-env
To activate $ workon mkdocs-env
, to deactive enter $ deactivate
Install dependencies:
(mkdocs-env) $ pip install --upgrade -r requirements.txt
Run server on you local machine:
(mkdocs-env) $ mkdocs serve
To deploy:
(mkdocs-env) $ mkdocs gh-deploy
