MC-LangFix v0.5

MC-LangFix is a small resource pack designed to fix a multitude of bugs in Minecraft's English language files. These bugs have been designated as Low priority by Mojang, and for frankly good reason: they are minor translation and localization issues that have probably legitimately impacted the gameplay experience of at most a dozen total players, and only any that speak a dialect of English. This resource pack is not a critique of Mojang in anyway, but there is something to be said about the fact that these bugs were fixed in an afternoon.

Download this repository as-is and install it as a resource pack. Enable priority should not matter much, so long as it is higher than the default resource pack.

The Bugs

Missing Translations

• death.attack.sting.item is now translated for all English languages (MC-186851)
• death.attack.witherSkull.item is now translated for all English languages (MC-186148)
• death.fell.accident.water is now translated for all English languages (MC-195467)

Non-Distinct Subtitles

• subtitles.entity.axolotl.idle_water is now distinct from subtitles.axolotl.idle_air (MC-208593)
• subtitles.entity.horse.ambient is now distinct from subtitles.entity.horse.angry (MC-215433)
• subtitles.entity.horse.saddle is now distinct from subtitles.entity.pig.saddle (MC-215437)
• subtitles.item.crossbow.hit is now distinct from subtitles.entity.arrow.hit (MC-215428)
• subtitles.item.nether_wart.plant is now more specific (MC-148832)
• Several parrot subtitles are now differentiated (MC-215436)

Typos & Other Errors

• advancements.nether.ride_strider_in_overworld_lava.title is now properly capitalized (MC-237920)
• advancements.story.mine_diamond.description now references the correct number of diamonds (MC-212904)
• datapackFailure.title now has correct spacing (MC-195825)
• mco.configure.world.restore.download.question.line1 now has correct spacing (MC-235064)
• multiplayer.status.cancelled is now spelled the American way in US English (MC-177133)
• Several advancement descriptions now have proper capitalization (MC-226430)
• Tipped arrow names are now differentiated for basic potions (MC-158539)

Terms of Use

You may use and modify MC-LangFix as you please, so long as full attribution is maintained. Honestly I'm not sure why you would, but go ahead.
