Initial Setup

Open Ubuntu and run explorer.exe ., find your '.bashrc' file and paste this at the bottom: alias sail='[ -f sail ] && bash sail || bash vendor/bin/sail'
run exit to stop your terminal session and then open it again to load your BASH profile settings
run sudo apt-get composer
navigate to your projects directory and run curl -s https://laravel.build/portfolio | bash
run cd portfolio
start Docker Desktop
run sail up -d to start the container in detached mode
run sail artisan migrate
run sail composer require laravel/breeze --dev
run sail artisan breeze:install react
run sail npm install
run sail npm run dev
run sail artisan migrate
open your browser to register your admin account
run sail stop to shut down your container

Development

open Ubuntu via Windows Terminal
start Docker Desktop
navigate to the project's directory
run sail up -d to start the container
run sail npm watch to compile client side assets on the fly
run sail stop when you're done
