This repository is a companion to a presentation that introduces the Composer dependency management tool to WordPress developers. Repository branches will eventually contain step-by-step examples that illustrate Composer concepts, with an emphasis on using the tool within a WordPress context.
- Composer
- PHP 5.6+ (Composer requires 5.3.2+, but some branches demonstrate version platform constraints)
- A local development environment configured for running WordPress
- Clone this repository
- Run
composer install - Copy wp-config-local-sample.php to wp-config-local.php and update it with your database credentials.
- Add this directory to your preferred local web server, fire it up, and enjoy!
