Send to Redmine Browser Extensions/Plugins

This extension lets you immediately create an issue with a link to the current page attached to the body. This is useful to quickly create issues from the current page, such as fora web app in development.

Redmine 1.3+ compatible.

This extension is a fork of the original developed by Rami Sayar. It is updated for the WebExtensions v3 API, which allows to use it on current browsers (as of 2024).

How to Install (Chrom.e.ium)

  1. Clone or fork this repository.
  2. Go to "Three dots menu" -> "Extensions" -> "Manage Extensions".
  3. Make sure "Developer mode" is checked on the top right corner.
  4. Click "Load unpacked" and navigate to the chrome folder in the repository.
  5. Go to the "Options" page for the extension.
  6. Fill in the URL for your Redmine install. Fill in the X-Redmine-API-Key which you can find under your "My account" page on the right in Redmine.
  7. Enjoy!

How to Install (Firefox)

  1. Install from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/send-to-redmine/.
  2. Go to "Extensions and Themes", find the "Send to Redmine" extension, open the "Preferences" page from the three dots menu.
  3. Fill in the URL for your Redmine install. Fill in the X-Redmine-API-Key which you can find under your "My account" page on the right in Redmine.
  4. Grant the permissions that the extension asks for.
  5. Enjoy!
