Correct but different reading for kanji sometimes marked as incorrect

Hey again,

on WK if you give the wrong reading for a kanji it "shakes it off" and I noticed that this happens most of the time on this program as well. However,

Today I typed はな as the reading for 話 and instead of shaking it off, it told me it was incorrect.

So I tried typing "はなす" and it did the shake "oops wrong reading"

That's actually incorrect -- it should be the other way around: はなす is actually incorrect and はな is right, but the wrong reading.

Seems like there needs to be some compensation for the period used to separate the okurigana from the kun-yomi reading? The part before the period would be one of the kunyomi readings that should be accepted or "shaked off". But including the part after the period (the okurigana) would make it an incorrect answer.

Not a hugely important issue if you know what you're doing but could be confusing especially if you are trying to go fast.

EDIT: Just noticed this going the other way. WK wants あ (kunyomi) as the reading for 合. I typed ごう, which is a correct onyomi reading that I see listed on that kanji's page, and the script marked it incorrect, rather than "shaking it off."

For all the kanji, it will ask you for what is considered to be the "important reading". In the case of 話 this is the onyomi and so the correct answer (as I'm sure you know) is わ.
This is probably due to the way it checks for the correct answer and that it's not forgiving in the right way.

Fortunately this is easy enough to reproduce and I have confirmed this my side.
