The ChatGPT plugin is a powerful tool for users of the Zotero reference management software, providing convenient access to concept explanations, content summaries, and bidirectional translation functions. To install the ChatGPT plugin for Zotero, please follow these steps:
- Download the XPI file from the repository.
- Open Zotero and navigate to Tools > Add-ons.
- Click on the gear icon and select "Install Add-on From File".
- Select the XPI file from your downloads folder and click "Open".
Before using the ChatGPT plugin, API Key Setup is a necessary step:
- Follow the link to the ChatGPT website provided in the plugin.
- Sign up for a ChatGPT account or sign in if you already have one.
- Obtain an API key from the ChatGPT website.
- In Zotero, select the gear icon and choose "ChatGPT Options".
- Enter your API key in the designated field.
