I had heard a lot about Wardley Maps and wanted to read his book on the subject, but I somewhat ironically don't find Medium to be a very good medium for this kind of material. I read a lot on my commute, which doesn't have the best mobile signal - so I figured the best option would be to convert the Medium posts in to an ebook format that can be downloaded and read offline. I also assumed others have similar challenges and would benefit from his work being available on ebook readers, etc. so decided to put some effort into this for the benefit of others.
I've also been exploring the idea of writing a Leanpub book for a while now, and this felt like a good way to experiment with it and get comfortable with the publishing process before diving in head first on my own material. Fortunately, Wardley Maps has been generously published under a license that permits sharing.
This repo contains the source for the Wardley Maps ebook on Leanpub. This is the original work of Simon Wardley, a researcher for the Leading Edge Forum, and the original is published on Medium under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. The same license has been applied to this repository.
I have tried to fairly represent all parties involved in producing this material (as described on the Medium posts). If any errors or omissions are discovered, please raise a PR or Issue so it can be rectified.
The content of this ebook aims to be as consistent as possible with the original blog posts, including text, images, etc. Once all content has been imported from the original posts on Medium, a tag will be created and referenced here to allow anyone to track modifications made to the original content. I think this is probably the best way to be as consistent as possible with the licensing terms under CC-BY-SA-4.0.
