GenericInstruments

Bundles similar functionalities of instruments under a single generic object: power supplies, arbitrary waveform generators, scopes,etc. Part of the visa routines borrowed from https://github.com/BBN-Q/Instruments.jl. This package fully wraps the visa lib, along with the niScope, niDmm and niFgen.

Please install the following before adding this package:

1. Install NIVISA
2. Install PXI instrument drivers (if needed; currently supports scopes such as NI5122/5114)
3. ]add GenericInstruments
4. using GenericInstruments

Supported instruments:

1. Scope: Lecroy 6054A (should work for the entire 6xxx-8xxx series), NIScope 5122/5114/5152
2. Arbitrary waveform generators: Agilent 33500 series dual channel, Agilent 33250A single channel. NIFGen5421(only api exposed)
3. Power supplies: Agilent E36xx series, single or dual channel (E3645/E3646/E3649)
4. Digital multimeters: WIP on Ketihley 2000/20001/7510. NIDmm4071(only api exposed)

See examples folder for usage. This package is under development so expect breaking changes. It's best to add the master branch in order to be up to date with bugfixes. Important Note: Because of the large number of libs necessary, a fully automated path discovery is not implemented yet. Currently only the Windows default paths are populated in: src/lib_locations.jl. Feel free to modify them as needed and rebuild the package in order to use it.
