DictionaryForMids SIL Build environment This build environment is meant for people wishing to produce dictionaries for multiple languages and those in different sizes. When we use "iso" we mean the three letter ISO code. The input file for this process is an xml file output from Toolbox. The file can be copied from another place on your computer or you can just put it in the data\iso directory. The file should be named iso-a.xml Four sizes of dictionary can built in. Wordlist: Just the lexeme and the indexes in other languages. Minimal. Dictionay lacking example sentences Mid sized. Full dictionary Full sized. Full dictionary with indexing on example vernacular sentences. Size comparison for a 5500 word dictionary with four languge indexes i.e. Eng, nat, reg, reg2 wl 602kB min 816kB mid 1081kB full 2227kB The XSLT transformation sheets can be modified for any code set.
