Google Site Verification
This plugin adds a Google meta tag to verify ownership of a Micro.blog site. It is useful if you did not set up a custom domain or cannot modify your custom domain.
Installation
1. Install the plugin
Install the plugin on Micro.blog for your site.
2. Add search property
- Add new Google Search Console property using a URL prefix.
- Enter the URL of your Micro.blog site
- Choose verification via HTML tag
- Extract the content of the meta tag shown
3. Set up the plugin for your site
Add the content of the meta tag from before to the plugin settings on Micro.blog
4. Finish the verification process
Now you should be able to finalize the verification process in the Google Search Console. In addition, you could add a default sitemap sitemap.xml.
