Perlについて
- 1987年リリースされた古い言語
- もともとはテキスト操作用に開発された汎用プログラミング言語
- 現在ではシステム管理、Web開発、ネットワークプログラミング、GUI開発などの幅広く使用されている
- テキスト整形や出力に最適化されている
- Perlは美しさより、実用的であることを目的としている
- C言語やsed、awk、シェルスクリプトなど他のプログラミング言語の優れた機能を取り入れている
- CGI時代にはPerlでWebアプリの開発に活用されていた
