This is a simple NodeJs Application that calculates the Typing Speed of users. The Algorithm calculates the number of characters typed by the user and divide it by 5 to get the Word Per Minute. The Net Word Per Minute is calculated by removing the number of errors the user made from the Gross Word Per Minute.
To install, run the following commands
$ git clone https://github.com/Boluwatifes/bc-21-typing-speed-app.git
$ npm install
This app depends on the following node modules
- express : Used for routing the application
- body-parser : Used to access request data
- firebase : Used for connecting to the google firebase database
- ejs : Embedded Javascript is used with express to render the web pages.
