Welcome to your plant_species gem! This gem will get you taxonomy of a plant with its complete Kingdom, Family, Genus and Species.
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'plant_species', :git => "https://github.com/haticekaratay/plant_species"
Then
require 'plant_species'
in your environment file.
Then run ./bin/plant_species in your terminal.
Also you can access this gem through GitHub link https://github.com/haticekaratay/plant_species by forking the repo.
To interact with this gem you first need to obtain a token from trefle.io api site. It is free website that just requiring you to sign to access their data. https://trefle.io/
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
