There has been a lot of problem to compile VTK and wxWindows together. I tried to sum up all possible (=reported) problems in this README file. The class has been succesfully built with there four cases: VTK static VTK dynamic wxWindows static 1 3 wxWindows dynamic 2 4 Just open the file: wxVTKRenderWindowInteractor.h, find the line: class VTK_RENDERING_EXPORT wxVTKRenderWindowInteractor : public wxWindow, public vtkRenderWindowInteractor ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ And change it accordingly 1. Keep in mind to not delete explicitely a wxVTKRenderWindow instance: don't use: delete m_WXRWI but instead use (just as any other VTK object): m_WXRWI->Delete(); Q5. What's is this Modules directory ? This is mainly for historical reason, when cmake was not so well integrated with wxWindows. As of 10/16/2005. CMake does not provide good Find* modules, I am now shipping them. Q6. What are the OS supported ? I have personally tested it under Win32, Mac(Carbon/Cocoa) and Linux(gtk1, gtk2). I have been reported that it works under : - Unix, - HP-UX - From a win box (win2k) using Exceed as Xserver Q7. Which VTK version is supported ? Yes you read it right, you are required to have access to the compiler to the target machine (no ssh for example), but you have to *manually* do it (painful).
