No-GPT

No-GPT is a browser extension that filters out social media messages containing phrases related to AI-generated content. It currently supports LinkedIn and Twitter and is designed to provide a cleaner browsing experience by hiding posts related to AI-generated text.

Installation

  1. Download the source code as a ZIP file or clone the repository using git clone.
  2. For Google Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers:
    • Open the Extensions page (chrome://extensions).
    • Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
    • Click "Load unpacked" and select the No-GPT folder containing the source code.
  3. For Mozilla Firefox:
    • Open the Add-ons Manager (about:addons).
    • Click the gear icon and select "Debug Add-ons."
    • Click "Load Temporary Add-on..." and select the manifest.json file inside the No-GPT folder containing the source code.

Usage

After installation, the No-GPT extension will automatically filter out messages containing AI-related phrases on LinkedIn and Twitter. Click the No-GPT icon in your browser's toolbar to toggle the filter on and off.

We welcome contributions to the No-GPT project. If you'd like to contribute, please follow these steps:

  1. Fork the repository on GitHub.
  2. Clone your fork to your local machine: git clone https://github.com/gruen/No-GPT.git
  3. Create a new branch for your changes: git checkout -b feature/my-new-feature
  4. Make your changes and commit them to your branch.
  5. Push your branch to your fork on GitHub: git push origin feature/my-new-feature
  6. Create a Pull Request on GitHub, comparing your fork's branch with the original repository's main branch.

Please provide a clear description of your changes in the Pull Request, including any issues it addresses or features it adds.
