Welcome to my Pokedex app! This React application pulls from PokeAPI, allowing users to search for Pokemon, view their details, and navigate through the Pokedex.
- Search for a Pokemon by name.
- View detailed information about the selected Pokemon, including its image and base stats.
- Navigate through the Pokedex using previous and next buttons.
Please ensure you have the following installed on your machine:

Clone the repository to your local machine:
git clone git@github.com:gretchenlam/pokedex.git

Change into the project directory:
cd pokedex

Install the project dependencies:
npm install
- Start the development server:
npm start
- Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:3000.
- In the search bar, enter the name of a Pokemon (e.g., Pikachu) and click the "Search Pokemon" button.
- View the details of the selected Pokemon, including its image, Pokedex number, types, and base stats.
- Use the back and forward arrow buttons to navigate through the Pokedex.
- Switch between male and female to showcase differences between Pokemon genders.
- Switch between normal and shiny sprites.
- Show front and back moving sprites.
- Improve sprite quality.
- Display evolution lines, and let users navigate through Pokemon in that line.
