Use the GNOME Window Navigator Construction Kit library with Ruby. The library is not yet complete, and only covers the essential functionality of the library. Support for workspaces will be added in the near future.
To build and install this gem from source on your local machine, use:
rake install
To install the latest released version of this gem, use:
gem install wnck
If your default remote gem repository is not rubygems.org, you must use:
gem install wnck --source http://rubygems.org/
This gem provides two classes Wnck::Screen and Wnck::Window which provide access to the services of libwnck. Alternatively you may use the direct C-style bindings from the Wnck module, such as Wnck::wnck_screen_get_default.
