Snowman
Snowman is meant to be a voice controlled personal assistant currently limited to iTunes. The reason I started making this begins with my Wemo smart plug. With my Wemo smart plug, I can sit in bed and tell Alexa to turn off the lights. I wanted to do that with my music as well, so I figured that I might as well automate this.
Technical Specifications
Use Applescript to interface with built in Mac applications. Use Python to deal with speech to text, text to speech, yadayada. Applescript may be called from Python using the wrapper py-applescript.
Might be worthwhile to run it on a raspberry pi that communicates with laptop through bluetooth instead of having to keep something running on laptop 24/7
