Overview

The UI allows you to load a game and browse backwards and forwards though the board states.

The underlying log parser currently handles:

Extracting games
Players per game
Kills per game
Game winner (if you stayed to the end)
Your MMR change and position
Each board state
Which player is player 1
The hot zone contracting

Roadmap

Show kills and wins on the UI
Show the scoreboard progress on the UI
Include player tiles / HP
Keep track of when items get collected
Show the scoreboard progress on the UI
Show phantom tiles
Figure out which words/bombs people played
Make the placeholder game have more than one step - perhaps it could be help text?
Allow export/import of individual parsed games
Allow sharing links to games

Runnning in development

The first time you clone the project, or any time package-lock.json changes, you'll need to install the project dependencies, this may take a few minutes the first time.

npm install

Now you can start the local dev server, which will automatically reload when you make changes.

npm start

The application will be available on http://localhost:3000

Commandline usage

With Node.js installed, run main.js with a file.

Usage: node parser.js <path-to-babble-royale-player-log>

On macOS the file is at '~/Library/Logs/Everybody House Games/BabbleRoyale/Player.log'
On windows the file is at 'C:\\Users\\[YOURUSERNAME]\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Everybody House Games\\BabbleRoyale\\Player.log'
