s3up is a command line tool to store static content in Amazon S3 following the best practices of YSlow. Specifically, it's for users who want to use S3 as a content delivery network for their images, style sheets, JavaScript, etc.
For each file it uploads, s3up sets a far future expiration date, gzips the content, and versions the file by combining the filename with a timestamp. Each of these actions are optional and can be controlled via the command line.

Requires PHP5 and php_curl extension.
- Place s3up in a convienient location and make executable.

./s3up.php [-ctxz] [options] recipientBucket saveAs uploadFile
recipientBucket - The bucket that your file will be uploaded to on s3.
saveAs - The file name that the file will be given on s3 (before any version strings are added)
uploadFile - The path to the file you wish to upload
-c Use MD5 checksum to avoid duplicate PUTs, useful for resuming uploads.
-t Append timestamp to uploaded filename for versioning.
-x Set far future expiry headers on uploaded file.
-z Upload a gzipped version in addition to the main file.
--version Appends a timestamp (string) of your choosing to each file.
--key Amazon S3 key
--secret Amazon S3 private key\n";
If --key and --secret are not specified s3up will read values from the AMZ_KEY and AMZ_SECRET environment variables.
The following example is used to upload the file /tmp/randomTextfile/foo.txt to a bucket called "mybucket" and names it "textfiles/bar.txt" (S3 does not actually support folders inside of a bucket, but you can put a slash in the file name). The key and secret I have used are just random codes that I have generated, so you will need to substitute them for real S3 keys:
