I'm a polyglot freelance developer & UX|DataViz designer from Berlin, Germany. I love data pipelines, JavaScript, good UX, and storytelling with data.
And strategy and systems thinking..
My focus is on creating wholesome products and building internal tooling / pipelines for AND with not-for-profit organisations / NGOs in general.
Currently, I'm exploring the new set of fullstack opportunities enabled by the 2022 Jamstack with awesome tools such as Supabase, Prisma, Astro, Alpine.js, Railway, the Notion API, and my two favourite web frameworks, 11ty / Eleventy & SvelteKit.
When I'm not building websites, I'm probably crunching data with R, Quarto, and ggplot or D3, or am making maps.
From time to time I enjoy to consult on all things NPO tech strategy, data management, and information security. I also love to give entry-level talks and to run workshops on topics such as DIY data engineering & CI/CD. I have facilitated product vision and design thinking workshops (the latter also on non-technical topics).
I used to blog about data science workflows with R, and will relaunch my blog when I have overhauled my portfolio website this winter (2022/23).
