The idea of this is pretty much to make a web interface for the brilliant castnow commandline tool - a plex server alternative, even though i'm not exactly sure what the plex server does...
I think this is ending with a webserver thats able to transcode videefiles on the fly - an android phone is then able to cast the url directly to the chromecast which in turn makes this project a lot smaller. (no cast logic is needed)
- Provide directory listings in a mobilefriendly way
- let the user start playback of files, (with optional transcoding like castnow)
- Support multiple streams at the same time, letting the user choose between N chromecasts available.
- ??!
I'm pretty upset no one did this yet, maybe im just unable to find the project...
