This contains all my personalization for a custom linux distribuition

Installation

If on ubuntu 20.04, run this first:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:system76/pop
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y pop-desktop
sudo reboot

If on ubuntu 22.04 or later, install https://github.com/pop-os/shell https://github.com/pop-os/launcher

To install my settings:

cd ~
git clone https://github.com/ezhang7423/home_config.git tmp
cp -a tmp/. .
./setup.sh
# rm -rf tmp if satisfied

MAKE SURE TO CONFIGURE timeshift, autokey, vs code.

Afterwards, logout and log back in and you should be all set

Backing up custom gnome settings

Backup dconf dump /org/gnome/ > gnome.ini

Restore:

dconf load /org/gnome/ < gnome.ini
