Copy Message URL
Copies the URLs of messages in Mail.app. For use in FastScripts.
Why?
Have you ever needed to get back to an email quickly? Or have you ever wanted to attach a locally stored email message to a text file? This script lets you do exactly that. With the help of FastScripts, you can assign a keybinding that lets you copy messages' URLs into other apps.
Features
- Copy the URL of any locally stored email and paste it into a text field for quick access later.

Installation
- Copy (don't symlink)
Copy Message URL.applescript
to~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Mail/Copy Message URL.scpt
. Note the different extension. - In FastScripts, assign a keyboard shortcut to
Copy Message URL.scpt
, which will appear in the correct location in the folder hierarchy. - Go to Mail.app, select a few messages, and test out your keyboard shortcut.
