This script allows to dowload locally the video segments logged by dash-inspector during a playback session.
It parse the logfile obtained through dash-inspector in order to download the video segments locally for later analysis. All the representations are downloaded.
Additionally, once the video segments are downloaed, they are concatenated as a single video. One video is produced by each dash representation.
Just clone the repo and run getDashSements.py
$ python3 getDashSements.py MediaFiles.json
MediaFiles.json
is the file downloaded using dash-inspector
Additionally, yo can use dash-inspector-downloader as a basic REST API by running app.py
. Specially, if you choose to run it in this way, dash-inspector could download directly the video segments. In this way, dash-inspector will make a POST request with the MediaFile.json to 5000 port by default that triggers the segments downloading.
$ flask run
