Setup
Follow this step by step process to setup the application locally. This includes:
Deployment
The deployed frontend application can be accessed through this link: https://ah-frontend-prime.herokuapp.com
Dependencies
Install the following software requirements:
- python3
- PostgreSQL
Getting started
Clone the repository by running the following command:
$ git clone https://github.com/andela/ah-backend-prime.git
Change to the application directory and create a virtual environment using the command:
$ virtualenv venv
Activate the virtual environment
$ source venv/bin/activate
Install dependencies using:
$ pip install -r requirements.txt
Included is a .env_sample file in the root of the project directory.
Create a .env file in the root of the project directory with parameters as shown in the .env_sample
Source the .env file
Run migrations for the database using the command:
$ python manage.py migrate
Run the application using:
$ python manage.py runserver
