About The Project

Over 8,00,000 people commit suicide due to stress, depression and trauma and the majority of the cases are from the age 19-27 who are all the young energetic forerunners of any nation. Mental disorders affects all humans including people who are disabled, disabled people face high level of discrimination. The demand for psychiatric doctors have increases recently, so to assist the doctors and patients who are both normal and disbaled, D.I.R.L - A web application app which assist people which therapy councilling through video conferences and virtual AI ChatBot with Sign Language Recognition support for people who are vocally disabled.

A web application that acts as a virtual therapist for people who use sign language to communicate via an AI chatbot could be a great way to provide accessible mental health support. An AI chatbot is a piece of software that simulates conversations with users using natural language processing (NLP). It operates through messaging applications and uses machine learning to provide a human-like experience. Chatbots can understand natural human language, emulate human conversation, and run simple automated tasks.

Virtual therapy can treat a range of speech disorders and can be accessed through videoconferencing software or an app. A virtual therapist can model visible speech and direct speech and language therapy. During virtual therapy sessions, a licensed mental health professional can give exercises or homework in real-time.

Incorporating an AI chatbot into the web application could enhance the user experience by providing quick and personalized responses. The chatbot could also help users navigate the application and access relevant resources.

Overall, this project has the potential to make mental health support more accessible for people who use sign language to communicate. By leveraging technology such as AI chatbots and virtual therapy, this web application could provide valuable support to those in need.
