gnuplot warnning 'set terminal '

"WARNING: Plotting with an 'unknow' terminal.
no output will be generated. please select a terminal with ' set terminal' "
Do you know how to set gnuplot terminal type 'qt' or 'x11' ?
Or, i must set gnuplot terminal type 'nox'?
