This is a sample Rails 5 API only app that can be deployed to a Heroku environment.
Here's how to do that:

Make sure you have a Heroku account

Clone this repo to your computer
git clone https://github.com/dlbunker/ps-heroku-rails-sample.git -
Open a terminal or command prompt and go to the root of the cloned project
cd ps-heroku-rails-sample -
Login to Heroku
heroku login -
Create a Heroku app space
heroku create -
Deploy app to Heroku
git push heroku master -
Open a browser and go to your apps url, it will look something like this: (https://guarded-wave-47344.herokuapp.com/rivers)
