Decided to take a short break from the development of his own project "Platformer" and take part in a week-long competition for game developers, the theme of which was "Layers". The first day I completely thought about the idea and game design, the other 6 days I wrote the code. Due to the limited time frame, I did not manage to do much of what I had planned, but I am more than satisfied with the result, since I improved the work with abstract classes, polymorphism and inheritance. I didn't have time to write the tutorial - some explanations: camera control on the keyboard arrows. The goal of the game is to get to the enemy on the right and destroy his base. (AI only skips a turn) You can build a Research Center and a Robot Factory. You also need to build a single unit - a robot, which will fulfill the main goal of the game. To do this, you need to move the drilling machine, which extracts all the necessary resources, and can also improve its parameters. Experience gained: took 3rd place among singles. Realized what good results can be achieved in just one week. Result: fully ready turn based strategy engine.
