What books should be in the library of the Software Development department of a Software company?

About

Each company has a shelf somewhere with some books on it. Unfortunately the books in that pitiful pseudo-libraries are old, quite irrelevant and should be thrown away for the most part (Think of "Programming Windows 95"). Imagine what value a library could provide to the employees if it would be filled with relevant, inspiring books that people actually read and get passionate about. This page should collect exactly that books. It's intended as an inspiration for all companies caring about sharing knowledge among employees using books.

This list contains mostly recommendations from Twitter people that responded to a Tweet by @UdoWiegaertner asking the question in the headline. The requirement for recommendations was that the person suggesting that book had to had read it. Because the question was asked in German and the responses where in German, too, the list below will be in German language for now.

Sharing is caring.
