ZimbraEasyInstall

##What is the ZimbraEasyInstall This Script install and configures bind9 with the domain and IP that is defined while invoke the command. After that the Scripts prepare the keystroke script with a default installation of Zimbra Collaboration 8.8.x (without dnscache) and the config.defaults script, using the domain, IP and password that is defined while invoke the command. Once everything is ready the Script download the latest version of Zimbra Collaboration 8.8.x/9.0.0(Network ONLY), uncompress it and install it using the keystrokes script and the config script.

Advantages of use the Script

Usage and Example

The ZimbraEasyInstall Script is an easy way to install Zimbra Collaboration, without be worry of the DNS configuration, OS depencies, etc. Just execute it and after a few minutes have Zimbra up and running.

Just run the Script adding the TLD domain for your Zimbra Collaboration server, the IP of the DNS server (usually will be the same of the server, but instead you are using different eth interfaces), and add the password for the Zimbra Collaboration server.

./ZimbraEasyInstall.sh zimbra.io --ip 192.168.211.40 --password Zimbra2017

Bind as a DNS Server

You can now choose if you want dnsmasq or bind for your DNS Server with ZimbraEasyInstall, by default if you don't select anything after the password, it will automatically install dnsmasq, if you add the flag bind, then it will install bind before ZCS:

./ZimbraEasyInstall.sh zimbra.io --ip 192.168.211.40 --password Zimbra2017 --resolver bind

Access to the Web Client and Admin Console

The Script will take care of everything and after a few minutes you can go to the IP of your server and use the next URL:

If you want to deploy the latest LTS version of Zimbra, ZCS , now you can, with the new Script ready for ZCS, which detects your OS and installs the proper version depending the OS ##Usage and Example The ZimbraEasyInstall Script is an easy way to install Zimbra Collaboration, without be worry of the DNS configuration, OS depencies, etc. Just execute it and after a few minutes have Zimbra up and running.

        --zimbrascript: Custom installZimbraScript file to use for Zimbra Installer (optional) (no default)
        -u, --upgrade, --no-upgrade: Upgrade Zimbra (and implicit default: off) (off by default)
        -z, --zextras, --no-zextras: Install Zextras (and implicit default: off) (off by default)
        --certbot-zimbra, --no-certbot-zimbra: Install certbot-zimbra (and implicit default: off) (off by default)
        --interactive, --no-interactive: Interactive mode walk through just the installations settings part interactively (and implicit default: off) (off by default)
        --csf, --no-csf: Install CSF Firewall (and implicit default: off) (off by default)
        --debug, --no-debug: Run Installer with bash debugging enabled (and implicit default: off) (off by default)
        -h, --help: Prints help
        -v, --version: Prints version

Legacy scripts

ZimbraEasyInstall-87-CentOS-RHEL

Thank you to Luis Perez, @dbinary, we have now a version for CentOS/RHEL. All you need to do is download the file called ZimbraEasyInstall-87-CentOS-RHEL give it execution privileges and run it as usual:

./ZimbraEasyInstall-87-CentOS-RHEL zimbralab.io 192.168.211.40 Zimbra2017

ZimbraEasyInstall-86

In the case that you want to run an old ZCS version like ZCS 8.6, in Ubuntu 14.04, you can download and give executin privileges to the file called ZimbraEasyInstall-86, and then run it as usual:

./ZimbraEasyInstall-86 zimbralab.io 192.168.211.40 Zimbra2017

ToDo

  • Prepare and configure automatically the Reverse DNS Zone
  • Make it Multi-Server, to install in each server only the role that selects (LDAP, Mailbox, MTA, PROXY, UI)
