First crack at a discord bot with HomeAssistant intergration.

S|{raWn Discord Bot

My first attempt at a discord bot for the lovely folks over at S|{rawn Gaming.

Required Parameters

Requires dotenv to be installed and a .env file containing the following:

Currently Working

• !server - displays unRAID server stats
• !status - sets the status of the bot
• !light - sets the state of the office light (turn_on,turn_off,toggle)
• !weather - displays weather from weewx via homeassistant
• !bom - displays weather from bom. is a bit buggy matching postcode to station id.
• !bomid eg. !bomid 066214 NSW - bom weather with station id used.
• !swl or <place_name> sets the users default
• !ww or <place_name> eg !ww 6255 or !ww albany - return willy weather + todays forecast. If no Argument is parsed it will use the users default that they set with !swl. If this doesn't exist it will default to 6000.
• !wwf or <place_name> to get 4 day forecast.If no Argument is parsed it will use the users default that they set with !swl. If this doesn't exist it will default to 6000.
• !beer for current beer fridge temp + happy hour count down!

TODO

• Custom welcome message on server join
• weather command - off my station !weather
• weather command - !ww for other users that pulls data from BOM / WW API.
• user preferred location stored somewhere? (db) so that can set with !sdw (set default weather) 6255
• 🐛BUG - incorrect town name crashes server ie. bailingup not Balingup..
• !wwf <postcode/location> forcast command
• Only certain roles can control home assistant
• 🔥Change weather to be faster and use willyWeather
• Individual welcome messages for users
• Spotify now playing command
• Announcements via webooks
• !3d print with a image from 3dprinter + status.
