Modify AppStore to only allow releases with X.Y or X.Y.Z version numbering and not snapshots

This issue is to help address issues noticed in this ticket: https://cytoscape.atlassian.net/browse/CYTOSCAPE-12727
where it is tricky to determine newer versions of Apps cause the current AppStore is a little too loose with allowed versions.
